R&D Engineer (Plastic & Polymer Engg)
The primary accountability is to manage product development and conducting trial runs updating with recent technologies & today’s knowledge in product design and development. Execution of Processes and methodologies in Npd.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist in developing plastic and polymer products, from concept to production, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Conduct tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure quality standards.
- Assist in selecting appropriate plastic and polymer materials for specific applications.
- Assist in optimizing manufacturing processes (such as injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding) to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Participate in R&D activities to innovate new materials and products, improve existing formulations, and explore sustainable material options.
The following is required for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- knowledge of polymer chemistry, material science, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques (e.g., DSC, TGA, FTIR, SEM).
- Familiarity with software for material modelling and simulation.
- Understanding of regulatory standards (e.g., REACH, RoHS) and quality systems (e.g., ISO).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
