Engineer – Quality Control
To ensure the quality of raw materials, fabricated components, finished goods, and development samples by performing inspections, tests, and coordinating third-party activities. To maintain quality documentation and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and standards.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, fabricated parts, finished goods, and development samples as per specifications.
- Interpret and verify engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Perform NDT Level II tests including Spark Test, Light Test, Visual Test, Hydro Test, and other NDT activities.
- Verify Test Certificates (TC) and ensure traceability and compliance of materials.
- Identify non-conformities (NC) and coordinate corrective/preventive actions.
- Prepare Inspection Reports, QCPs (Quality Control Plans), and other related documentation.
- Coordinate and follow up with third-party testing and inspections (raw material and final product).
- Update and maintain records in SAP related to inspection and quality activities.
- Generate and update MIS reports for quality performance tracking and management review.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory quality standards.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Certified NDT Level II (in at least VT, PT, MT, UT or RT methods)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Knowledge of quality standards, QCP, and inspection procedures
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools and test equipment
- Familiarity with SAP and basic ERP functions
- Good communication and documentation/reporting skills
- Ability to coordinate with third-party inspectors and vendors
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical / Production Engineering
- 3–4 years of experience in Quality Control
